About Ruju
Software that speaks the language of the pasal
Small shops run Nepal's neighbourhoods. They deserve tools made for them, not borrowed from somewhere else.
Why we are building Ruju
A lot of shops still run on a paper khata and memory. Who owes what, what is left on the shelf, and which supplier to pay are all kept in one head. It works until the notebook is lost, the numbers disagree, or a customer says “I already paid”.
Ruju puts the khata, the stock and the bills on the phone you already carry. It works offline, because shops do not stop when the internet does. It speaks Nepali and shows BS dates, because that is how the counter talks. And it keeps your records honest: nothing is silently edited or deleted.
We are starting small, with a pilot of five shops, and building what they actually use.
What we believe
Four promises we build around
Offline first
A shop does not close when the signal drops. Ruju is built so the counter keeps working, always.
Nepali first
Nepali text, BS dates and simple words, because software should speak the way the shop does.
Honest records
Nothing is quietly edited or deleted. Every correction leaves a trail you can trust.
Your data, your shop
The shop owns its records. We do not sell or share them, and owners can take their data with them.
